SPICED CHOCOLATE PECAN BROWNIES
(Yield: 2 dozen)

1 cup butter or margarine
2/3 cup semisweet chocolate morsels
4 eggs
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup self-rising flour
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350°F.  Spray a 13x9-inch baking pan with non-stick vegetable spray.

In a saucepan over low heat, melt butter and chocolate morsels.  Set aside to cool.

In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs and sugar until thick and lemon-colored.  Add vanilla.  Gradually beat in chocolate mixture.  Add flour and cinnamon, stirring until blended.  Stir in pecans.  Pour batter into prepared baking pan.

Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until a tester inserted two-thirds from the center comes out clean.  Cool on a wire rack for 15 minutes.  Cut into squares.
