SWEDISH SPRITZ COOKIES
(Yield: 4 dozen)

1½ cups butter or margarine, softened
1 cup sugar
1 egg, lightly beaten
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 cups self-rising flour

Preheat oven to 400°F.  Spray cookie sheets with non-stick vegetable spray.

In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.  Add egg and vanilla; beat until blended.  Stir in flour until a smooth dough forms.  Force through a cookie press onto prepared cookie sheets.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.  Remove from cookie sheets; cool completely on a wire rack.
