TOFFEE-NUT
SQUARES
(Yield: 40 cookies)
2 cups self-rising flour
¾ cup butter or margarine, softened
¾ cup sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 egg
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup chocolate-covered toffee
morsels
2 1-ounce squares semisweet chocolate
Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 15x10-inch jelly-roll pan
with non-stick vegetable spray.
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, butter, sugar, vanilla, and
egg; beat until well blended. Stir in walnuts and toffee morsels.
Spread dough evenly in prepared pan.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool in pan

until melted and smooth. Drizzle over the cookie layer; let set.
