TOFFEE-NUT SQUARES
(Yield: 40 cookies)

2 cups self-rising flour
¾ cup butter or margarine, softened
¾ cup sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 egg
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup chocolate-covered toffee
                                      morsels
2 1-ounce squares semisweet chocolate

Preheat oven to 350°F.  Spray a 15x10-inch jelly-roll pan with non-stick vegetable spray.

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, butter, sugar, vanilla, and egg; beat until well blended.  Stir in walnuts and toffee morsels.  Spread dough evenly in prepared pan.
