CHOCOLATE BROWNIES
(Yield: 9 servings)
3 1-ounce squares white chocolate, chocolate
½ cup butter or margarine
3 eggs
1¼ cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1¾ cups self-rising flour
½ cup ground almonds
In the top of a double boiler, over simmering water, melt chocolate
and butter; stir until mixture is melted and smooth. Cool.
Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray an 8x8-inch baking dish with
non-stick vegetable spray.
In a large mixing bowl, combine eggs, sugar, and vanilla; beat until
well blended. Stir in chocolate mixture, flour, and almonds.
Pour into prepared baking dish.
Bake for 50 to 55 minutes or until a tester inserted in the center
comes out with a few crumbs attached. Cool on a wire rack.
Cut into squares.
