The Lordship of Sperone is a Micronation. It begin its life in 1/5/2000 the day when His Lordship don Francesco de' Marsi take possession of the abandoned village of Sperone, and proclaimed it independent.
The State is a personal possession of the Lord therefore it is governed with the ancient laws and feudal rules. Sperone is the rest of the ancient county of the Marsi, with his most important town of Celano.
Desire and expectation of the Lordship is to bring together all the Marsicana Nobility, for the appointment of the Unique Great Duchy of the Marsi. For this the nobles and citizens of Sperone will be able to choose, with the power of the Noble Arconti's council, the Duke and finally found the "Ducato dei Marsi".
