Naoko Takeuchi
Naoko Takeuchi is the author of Sailormoon, so knowing her a bit is interesting if we really love her work. She is a Piscis and her blood type is A. Her favourite colour is gold. She was married to Togashi Yoshihiro, author of Yuu Yuu Hakusho y Hunter x Hunter on January 6th, 1999. They have a child.
SailorMoon's creator was born on March 15th of 1967 in the Yamanashi prefecture (Kofu city.) In 1986, as a college student, se published her first work as a mangaka "Love Call". This manga gave her the "Second Nakayoshi New Mangaka Award." She graduated of the Chemistry University of Kyoritsu and her thesis was about the "Heightened Effects of Thrombolitic Actions caused by Ultrasound" (!!!)
Her work includes Chocolate Christmas, Maria, The Cherry Project, Code Name wa Sailor V, Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon, Prism Time (short stories collection that includes: Gradation I, Tamaki Peppermint, Gradation II, Saura Sunset, Gradation 3, Mizuki Moonglow, Gommene Wednesday), Prism Time 2 (Rain Kiss, Yume miuru Rainy Button, Secret na kataomoi, Love call & Yume ja nai no ne -written when she was 18-), PQ Angels and Princess Takeuchi Naoko's Return-to-Society-Punch.
What she says about her work:
- There isn't a Sailor I love the most. Each one of them talks with my voice...
- Guys look for a strong couple. They want to be dominated, and the sailors are ready to do it.
- Love is important in every manga I've drawn. In Sailor Moon I put many fights, but the theme of my first works remains.
Also noticable is that many image and theme songs of the Soundtrack & the Live-Action Version where written by her. There was a rumour a couple of years ago that a new season of Sailor Moon was coming, but it was just a hear-say of the Live Action.
