Even many die-hard K-Staters will admit that KU's campus is the most beautiful in Kansas, and it particularly shines in the fall, in this region of Kansas where there are a great abundance of trees (an odd concept to a Westerner such as myself). Here is a brief tour around campus, with pictures taken during October, 1999. |

This is Budig Hall, otherwise known as Hoch Auditoria. The Jayhawks used to play basketball here until the inside burned. Now it has been renovated and features three large lecture auditoria and a well-equipped computer lab. |

This is Potter Lake (actually a big pond), where the goalposts are temporarily deposited after a victory over Mizzou or KSU (doesn't happen very often). That's GSP residence hall on the right. |

The large building in the background here is Watson Library, the main library on campus. Amazingly I have not had the need to visit there yet; I'm sure that will soon change. |

This is Strong Hall, where most of the adminstrative offices and the enrollment center are located. The street you see in these pictures is Jayhawk Boulevard, which runs in front of most of the class buildings. |

Finally, here is a view of campus as taken from Daisy Hill behind the dorms. The buildings below in front are apartments where students with families live. The large red roofed building on the right is Anschutz Sports Pavilion. Far in the background with the twin spires stands Fraser Hall which houses the Departments of Psychology and Sociology. To situate you, it is located on Jayhawk Boulevard. |
