The Mystique and Majesty of Prague

view

A fabulous view of Prague, known round the world for its red roofs.

Messing around in Rome's airport before our flight to Prague.  That's Robert my roommate speaking no evil and Scott, a tenor, seeing no evil.

Some lady insisted on taking my picture here.  At least I'm looking a bit more lively than in front of the Trevi Fountain.

St. Vitus

Left and above:  St. Vitus Cathedral, where we performed.  The huge Gothic structure is surrounded by the Czech national palace.  Construction was begun in the 1300s; finishing touches were not complete until 1929.
Below left:  Prague has always been a musical city; here a Bohemian band performs in the main city square.
Below right:  We couldn't resist a trip to the medieval torture museum.  Here I'm standing next to an iron maiden.

Left: Prague's nickname is the City of 100 Spires.
Finally, below, don't miss my two favorite pictures of Prague, with the Voltava River in the foreground and St. Vitus Cathedral in the background.
