Thank you for taking the time to visit my poetry web site.

As yet, I am very inexperienced at all this internet "stuff" so I hope you will bear with me in these early stages.  Any constructive critiscism - either on the poetry or web construction - would be gratefully received.  Both I might add are developing but this internet stuff really confuses me!  I am very grateful for the easy to use Page Builder fromYahoo.

My poetry is written from both life's experiences (my own as well as other people's) and articles of news that have moved me to write. Some of the poetry relates to real events or emotions (own or otherwise) and many others are just "creations".  I am one of those people who have been born with a wild imagination and able to portray my mind's wanderings onto paper. Some people would say it is a gift and most times I would agree, however it can be curse too.  If you read my poem "The Curse" you'll understand what I mean!

I have written poetry off and on since childhood but have been a "sleeping"  poet for the last six or so years. That is, until a very special friend happened to pop into my life and re-kindle the dormant passion for words once more.  My love for words was created during my childhood where I was fortunate enough to be brought up "out in the sticks" in Scotland.  My surroundings fuelled my imagination and I often told stories that I created to my brother.  His favourite one (which became a regular serial) at bedtime was James's Adventures and I may just put pen to paper one day and re-create this young character.  The poem "Hashimoto" is dedicated to Jim, my brother, and relates to a real (and frequent!) event in our childhood.  My daughters, who are young ladies now, have also suffered the consequences of mother's wild imagination.  I hope they consider that my story telling and poetry has given them pleasure during their growing up.  I look forward to being able to do the same with grandchildren as and when they arrrive.  I am dedicated to my children and I dedicate the majority of my writing to them.  Thanks for being patient girls!

This site is now becoming too big to handle and I find that I have less and less time to continue updating.  I have another website www.oocities.org/ainetheon which is centred on a character that I created and developed last year.  Please do take time to visit this site as you will not find any of the Ainetheon Tales on this site.  I also have an online diary that I try my best to write in each day and a creative Journal written in the "hand of Ainetheon".  On top of all that I am still trying to work so find that writing time and website time is severely reduced at times.  I hope one day to put together a much more condensed site that will cover all aspects of my writing
