http://www.poetrykit.org/

Well worth a visit.  This site has everything a budding new or an experienced poet is likely to need.  It list various events, magazines, competitions, discussion groups, how to articles, and so very much more.  Definately one to have in your favourites folder.

Stuck for a word that rhymes?  Find it at this site.  You can also search for synonyms, similar sounding words, phrases and much more.  Good place to visit if the old grey brain cells need a little help.

JC LOZADA

This site is by a poet whom I find to be very inspirational.  His works are very sensitive and full of meaning.  He also likes Edgar Allen Poe, one of my favourite poets, and one or two of these poems are reproduced on his site.

RUDYARD KIPLING

A history as well as an extensive range of Kipling's works are to be found on this site.  This poet is so famous he hardly needs an introduction and I am sure most people have had to learn a piece or two from his collection.  visit this site to read your favourites orto discover the ones you never read.

ROBERT LOUIS STEVENSON

This is a very extensive site covering most if not all works of this great Scottish poet.  His writing is so down to earth and in plain English (other than the ones written in Scot's dialect of course).  As a child I was taught to memorise quite a few of his poems.  My favourite one as a child  is From A Railway Carraige (can be found on my Favourite Poets Page).  I also like The Vagabond and many more, too numerous to mention here.

TONY CROWTHER

Tony's site is very well set out and features not only his own poetry but other poets too. He has written  some really nice sensitive poems.  Some of Tony's poetry is "mystical" and he is a Pagan following the Druid path.  Tony has been a very useful resource to me in my research on "old" religions and beliefs.

PHILL ASHWELL

Phill has a terrific sense of humour which shows through on his site - and not just the poetry.  There is a lot to see and read on this site and really needs to be visited on more than one occassion to fully appreciate.  I once asked Phill what the theme was to his site and he replied "Chaos".  It is a very well organised site so I take it to be the chaos in life Phill refers to!  Please take time to visit - you won't be disappointed.
