ABOUT SCOTLAND On this page you will find a selection of articles, poetry, links that I would like to share with you. I am very proud of my Scottish heritage even although I no longer live by those bonnie banks and braes of Scotland. This page has only just been started (23 July 2000) so please do stop by again for a further update. If you know of any interesting sites or articles which could be added then please do let me know. |

Electric Scotland This is a Scottish community site which is very interesting. It has all sorts of information about the history, culture, tartans, clans etc. There is a selection of poetry too on this site. Space here does not permit me to tell you everything this extensive site covers. I can only recommend that you take a look if you are interested in anything remotely connected to Scotland. |

Flower of Scotland (Written by Roy Williamson of "The Corries")
Although "Flower of Scotland" is not a traditional song, it has been adopted as Scotland's national anthem, along with "Scotland the Brave"
O Flower of Scotland, When will we see Your like again, That fought and died for, Your wee bit Hill and Glen, And stood against him, Proud Edward's Army, And sent him homeward, Tae think again.
The Hills are bare now, And Autumn leaves lie thick and still, O'er land that is lost now, Which those so dearly held, That stood against him, Proud Edward's Army, And sent him homeward, Tae think again.
Those days are past now, And in the past they must remain, But we can still rise now, And be the nation again, That stood against him, Proud Edward's Army, And sent him homeward, Tae think again.
0 Flower of Scotland, When will we see your like again, That fought and died for, Your wee bit Hill and Glen, And stood against him, Proud Edward's Army, And sent him homeward, Tae think again.
