Dedicated to Hollie *
You're lucky when you find that
uncomplicated
find out what you're capable of
and what your world's all about
I may not know you as well as I know myself
But our similarities account for a lot
I needn't fear the mystery
of different planets and all of that rot
We can bond over many shared things
You'll understand what my
Young girlish fears meant
And how I came to be me
Maybe I can't trust you
all that much more
But it comes more naturally
And that's what's sexy
I won't be accused of inaction
I won't give up attraction
I'm keeping my options open
With a clear mind that's clouded with fear

*This poem changed a little from a straightforward ode to friendship
once I got into it, but I decided to leave the dedication intact.
Hollie understands. I think.
