Israel

You may beg me to do wrong
You don't care if I am right
You're always trying to stop an important fight
I have loved and I have suffered
I have died and I have been renewed
I've been chosen for life
I'm a mirror for all your wrongs
You may see clearly but not for long
I'm so weary of being planned to be me
Why must you just follow along?
Your oppression is so strong
I'm the last of your discriminations
You turn me away
Even though I'm strong
and I could help you far along
I'm the cause you overlook
I'm the ongoing problem you ignore
I am Israel, God's chosen one.
