The Church:
Body of Christ or Prison Building?

Biggest Problem Ideas in the Modern Church as I see It

1. "We're still under the Law, and thus we can keep the Law on our own, and thus we are not totally dependant on God."
A. Old law vs. faith and forgiveness: James 2:10-13, Gal. 3:10-11, Romans 3:9-24, Mark 3:28-29

2. There's a scale of "badness" of sins
A. This one actually comes from the old Law; see above

3. There is good in this world
A. There is no good except God in us. The world is not meant to be a good place, it is completely evil. We are only living here for a short time, counting and waiting on our eternal "good place" in Heaven (Romans 8: 17-25). The only thing we are (or should) be living on is faith and hope in Him and His Return (1 Cor. 1: 1-9, Jude 1: 15-23).

4. There's a little bit of good in everybody
A. There's a difference between this and 'all people are created in the image of God' (Ephesians 4:24) that needs to be noticed. After all, people are born with a sin nature (Romans 8: 1-9).

Bonus scriptures for good behavior: 1 Cor. 14: 26-33, Ephesians 2: 11-13, James 3: 1-12, 1 Cor. 11: 1-16, Acts 2: 25,26

Smile: 1 Corinthians 2: 9-10
