Personal Profile

My name is Angie Chan. I am married, with a son, called Peter who is also one of my MBA classmates at the University of Dubuque.

I am proud of Peter and myself as I think there are not too many cases that both mother and son are going to graduate from the same MBA programme at the same time.

I am currently working in my own management and consultancy firm based in Hong Kong. As the Administration Manager, I am responsible for daily routine administration duties and assist in formulation and implementation of internal control procedures and company policies.

As a business executive with over ten years working experiences in sales and marketing, management and consulting, I gained an in-depth knowledge of various industries both in Hong Kong and Australia. During that several years working and living in Melbourne, I enhanced further experiences in different aspects such as: imports & exports, migration & education, and real estate as well.

To top it all, studying the BBA in Monash University while working in Melbourne was not an easy task. Providentially, I was then personally well equipped and took advantages of employment opportunities in a variety of disciplines across the regions.

In this increasingly competitive and rapidly changing business environment, a successful and adaptive businessperson should strive for continuous improvement skills through learning.

By taking the MBA programme in UD, the value I may say, be identified in terms of “self-analysis with critical eyes”. The interpersonal and analytical skills become highly competent in integrating the global dimensions of key business functions.

There is no such thing as perfection. No matter what I endeavor, there are always rooms for improvement. Conversly, maintaing a harmony between physical and mental healthy is esstential. Yoga and music therapy are tools for relaxing in order to invigorate for the changelling work everyday.

Where there is a will, there is a way. A will is to have my own vineyard sometime in future and I am still looking for my way in the coming days!
