PAST Xanga LAYOUTS

This is where you can see my xanga blog's past layouts and the one and only current one :D The majority of designs are for this website because I update it basically daily, I grow tired of seeing the same layout everyday, and it's the oldest website I have that is still alive :D  Also, my layouts sometimes give a good insight of how I am feeling. Of course this is not usually planned ^_^;; Since I'm not really a fan of those new xanga "themes" and those crazy anime layouts with the translucent boxes (they freeze my computer all the time O.o), a lot of my designs are mostly i-frames and a handful of DIVs. I tend to reuse them a lot, too, now and again, since many of these are my faves ^^!

P.S. Credits are usually given on the layout preview, however it is difficult to trace where I got other images because a lot of the older websites I used to obtain them no longer exist :(

Well enjoy!

Xanga version: "Melody To Tomorrow 2"
Created: August 21, 2007 (current)
Featuring: Sakura and Syaoran Li from Card Captor Sakura
Notes: Continuing my Sakura-Syaoran obsession...lol. Here is a layout inspired by one I found at Magitek-Designs.net! After watching the second Card Captor Sakura movie, I was all like "awwwww" and thus this girly, romantic, yet beautifully genuine and angelic design was made :D! And let me tell you, I am not usually one for pink, but this has got to be one of my most favorite designs. A simple i-frame with fluff lol. This layout also boosted my inspiration to start making a cosplay Sakura, but that's for another website to tell... (CCR to be exact!)

Xanga version: "Melody To Tomorrow"
Created: July 7, 2007
Featuring: Sakura and Syaoran Li from Card Captor Sakura
Notes: Inspired by my sister's upcoming Asian themed wedding (which would be appropriate, since we ARE Asian after all lol) A very cute image and a simple div :) Title derived from a Card Captor Sakura theme song.

Xanga version: "Angel of Spring"
Created: April 7, 2007
Featuring: Sakura from Card Captor Sakura
Notes: The start of my mini-Sakura phase. I really love CLAMP's artwork (it being one of my top faves, along with Mr. Amano's and Mr. Nomura's Square Enix works), whether it be Card Captor Sakura, Magic Knight Ray Earth, XXXHolic, or even Chobits (which I really dislike for reasons untold XD). It was two days after my birthday, and I figured I needed something happy and springy to stare at whilst I blog. Plus, after having a boxy layout for so long, one wants a nice DIV layout to clearly display one's blog entries and pictures properly XD

Xanga version: "Heaven's Charm"
Created: January 14, 2007
Featuring: Penelo from Final Fantasy XII
Notes: Inspired by the hype of the release of Final Fantasy XII that my older sister graciously bestowed upon me for Christmas :D! Another winter-themed layout, with angelic references. I rather liked this image of Penelo spinning (which I now know is her doing a "Quickening" attack XD), and thusly I made a layout :D Quote from the side is from Final Fantasy XII's theme song "Kiss Me Good-Bye."

Xanga version: "I'm Dreaming Of a White Christmas"
Created: December 12, 2006
Featuring: Pooh and Piglet from the Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Notes: It's Christmas Time, It's Christmas Time :D!!! My holiday spirited-self could not go without making a festive layout ^^! Winnie the Pooh, and Piglet too are so oh so a part of me and my sister's childhood, and thusly I thought it was appropriate to use them in this theme! This image of the original, story book illustration was too cute and heartwarming not to notice. Plus, they are both in freakin' Kingdom Hearts XD! I usually use this annually when December hits haha. Title was picked because I was singing "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas" for Spanish class XD Besides, the background story around the song about soldiers is so saaaad :(

Xanga version: "Isolated and Alone"
Created: November 12, 2006
Featuring: Sora from Kingdom Hearts (manga)
Notes: Obviously, one of my darker layouts. Made it when I felt all jumbled up inside and sad :( Hence the title name XD anywho, complicated and simple at the same time, I totally felt connect to the fears and woes of Sora, and thusly this was made. The words in the background are repeating, just drifting thoughts and random words that I felt complimented the whole FEEL of the layout. Another one of those "all time favorites" on my list of "all time favorites" lol. Probably the best layout I ever made.

Xanga version: "Walls"
Created: September 26, 2006
Featuring: Squall and Rinoa from Final Fantasy VIII
Notes: Beautiful quote, said by a certain someone I know all too well. I was in desperate need of inspiration for a new layout, and that is when he said the quote to me. When I heard it, we both instantly thought of an image of Squall and Rinoa, since silly Squally-kun seems apathetic to everything until Rinoa pisses him off so much that it makes him feel. LMFAO. Okie so I'm not a huge FFVIII fan, but this is probably one of my most favorite CG images that Square had ever released (which is a big deal, considering it's me, the oh so picky Square fan lol XD) I really do love this layout for the feeling it evokes in me when I see/read it :)

Xanga version: "Dear Diary Kairi"
Created: June 23, 2006
Featuring: Kairi, Sora, and Riku from Kingdom Hearts I/II
Notes: Inspired by the whole Kingdom Hearts II release and the summer, I was absolutely in awe of the new CGI and images. Beautifully crafted by Square, I must admit. Of course, I am more fond of the first release, so that is the thought that dominated when making this layout. Like one of my other layouts at CCR, this layout featured an overlapping object, the pen, whenever you scrolled up and down the page. So awesome *.* lol *geeky-mode* Anyways, the layout is suppose to be the diary, or journal, of Kairi. P.S. That's my Student ID number from high school ^^!!!

Xanga version: "ToToRo!"
Created: June 17, 2006
Featuring: Chu Totoro from My Neighbor Totoro!
Notes: Wheeee!! I love this layout!! It dons my grade-school's school colors, but I love it anyway :) After watching "My Neighbor Totoro" with my sister, I instantly fell in love with the movie! I found this image online and I was like "kawaaiiii!!!" hahaha. As usually, I am always a sap for original storyline illustrations, versus the actual, finished design. XD

Xanga version: "Just Believe"
Created: May 30, 2006
Featuring: Yuna from Final Fantasy X
Notes: I had recently replayed parts of Final Fantasy X on a whim and decided to make this layout. Very pretty rainbow, airy, translucent color scheme thing lol. This is probably one of my most favorite scenes in FFX (I liked it even better than the darn "hey let's kiss underwater for five minutes, which is usually humanly impossible, but hey I AM A BLITZBALL PLAYER" moment. But I have to admit, I love that scene too ^^)

Xanga version: "Morning Glow"
Created: May 2, 2006
Featuring: Sora from Kingdom Hearts II
Notes: I LOVE THE CONCEPT ART OF VIDEO GAMES AND MOVIES. I always find them very poignant and unrefined in a way that captures the beauty and spirit of an emotion. Which is why this is not a layout of a CG of the new Kingdom Hearts II version of Sora XD Simple and clean layout, as some would call it hahaha. Lyrics in the background of where the blog entries should be is from Final Fantasy X's "Morning Glow" song found on that special FFX CD or something. I found it appropriate and decided to add "water ripples effect" to give the feeling of being by the water. The boxy pattern on Sora is actually the free online graph paper I was using at the time to do a graph for my science homework XD Text effects were done to make it look like it was done in watercolor paint or ink :)

Xanga version: "Oathkeeper"
Created: March 19, 2006
Featuring: Kairi and Sora from Kingdom Hearts
Notes: Happy times ^^ lol. That is the thought that always comes up when I see this layout XD The little word snippet on the top left is something I came up with when I saw the "holding hands" picture from the Kingdom Hearts II introduction. Super cute and nice. I love the Oathkeeper ^^

Xanga version: "Wingless Angel"
Created: February 17, 2006
Featuring: Rinoa from Final Fantasy VIII
Notes: Okie, I won't lie, I'm not terribly fond of Rinoa, but FFVIII has some of the greatest cut scene images and for some reason or another, they appeal to me highly. This picture is originally entirely black and white, from the introduction to the introduction O.o of the game (you have to be on the menu screen and not press anything for...well a while XD to see a slide show of each character's "indirect" profile pictures) Inspired by Gackt's (ack Gackt X_X) song "Mizerable."

Xanga version: "Snow White Type Destiny 2"
Created: January 21, 2006
Featuring: Himeno from Pretear
Notes: Basically its the previous layout, only chopped up into a little i-frame XD I tend to do this a lot when the whole DIV layout becomes too overwhelming and over crowded (in terms of detail) So I isolated Himeno's image on Photoshop to put the emphasis on her, and her alone. YAYAYAYAY Himeno-chan :3 Oh and I also added a snowfalk, for old times sake XD
Main Image Source: AnimeCubed.com

Xanga version: "Snow White Type Destiny"
Created: December 29, 2005
Featuring: Himeno and the Leafe Knights form Pretear
Notes: Another "inspired by the winter months and snow ^^!" I was totally re-watching Pretear, which I have to admit is an addicting series, and I found this image online that had her and all her Leafe Knights ^^! Read a bit into the background history of making Pretear and saw the similarities it had with Snow White, hence the title. Plus I had falling snow flakes on my page ^^! But I soon removed them due the massive lagging when loading my xangie :( lol.

Xanga version: "The Spirit of Winter"
Created: December 13, 2005
Featuring: Random Anime Girl
Notes: Inspired by the winter months and snow ^^! I quickly got sick of it though :( For some odd reason, I am not fond of "generic anime school girl" images XD It's still a very pretty picture though ^^
Main Image Source: Random Anime Gallery (I don't remember O.O)

Xanga version: "Final Heaven 2"
Created: July 8, 2005
Featuring: Cloud and Tifa from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children
Notes: I soon grew tired from the previous layout, and I saw a trend in xanga that everyone was making these "DIV" layouts. These layouts were very photoshop'd with effects, brightened and contrasted to like the max, with very detailed and busy patterns. Here is my version of it, FFVII:AC style :D! I also love this picture. The flowers TOTALLY make it gorgeous XD
Main Image Source: AdventChildren.net

Xanga version: "Final Heaven"
Created: June 2005?
Featuring: Tifa from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children
Notes: YAAAYYY!!! Purple is my favorite color ^^ And Tifa is my favorite FFVII character! (minus good ol' Sephiroth) Well, with the hype of FFVII:AC, I made this layout. There were not a lot of images of the movie at the time, so I basically cropped this from a beautiful wallpaper already made. Therefore, I guess I didn't really MAKE this layout XD I did come up with the quote though :3

Xanga version: "HalloweenTown"
Created: September 26, 2005
Featuring: Sora from Kingdom Hearts I
Notes: My first "recorded" layout. Others before this one had just generic wallpaper backgrounds of Final Fantasy characters, and different colored font and scroll bar XD Anywho, image actually is already a wallpaper, I just added boxes and chopped it up a bit to make the layout XD Inspiration for the upcoming Halloween season at the time :) I also absolutely ADORE Sora's HT costume ^^!
