	Chapter 3 – Dark Elements Deep below the earth, four young women sat around a long diner table. “Personally, I don’t see why I have to put up with the three of you. None of you have any manners whatsoever!” Stated the blonde one. “Oh please Claire, you’re just jealous.” Claire glared at her older sister. “Baka Phoenix…” She murmured. Pan, the youngest of the women just sat and watched as Phoenix began to tease her younger sister. “Damera Phoenix! Leave Claire-chan alone.” Warned Hikari. Phoenix just let out a giggle. Claire turned red. “I don’t need your help, Hikari”. Before anyone had time to notice, a new person had entered the room. This new woman let out a deep sigh. “Really, I don’t know what I’m going to do with the four of you. All you do is bicker.” The others immediately quieted down and turned to face their queen… Queen Aminia stood silently, admiring the work she had done on them. How obedient they had become. “As you well know, we need to steal large quantities of energy from humans to power the Dark Star Cannon. Only when we have done that, will we be able to destroy the sun for good, and avenge my late husband…” Queen Aminia turned her head, but only for dramatic effect. Who would truly want to avenge such a failure? She started again, “ I need one of you to go down to Earth. I have yet to gather the details, but you will be attacking a large group. So, who wants the assignment?” Claire stood up quickly, knocking her chair back. “I’ll go!” She had not made herself very useful lately, and feared the Queen would see fit to get rid of her. She needed to reinforce the Queen’s trust in her. Suddenly, Hikari stood up as well. “I’ll go with her, if you’ll permit it.” Claire shot a nasty look at Hikari, how could she do this to her?! Did she want the Queen to think she was useless?? Queen Aminia just nodded. “Very well, I expect you down there by tomorrow.” With that, she left the room. “GRRR” Claire cried as she stormed out of the room as well. “Claire-chan! Wait up!” Hikari ran out after her. Phoenix and Amber just stared in silence. “Hah, things are about to get very interesting around here,” mentioned Phoenix. Pan just nodded. “Claire-chan! Did I do something wrong? What’s the matter? Hanashite!” Hikari grabbed Claire’s hand, spinning her around. “How could you do this to me?! Don’t you think I can handle this on my own?!” Claire almost cried as she screamed at Hikari. But Hikari just smiled. “kawaii~ne, when you’re mad”. Suddenly, she pulled Claire up and pressed her lips against hers. “Damera!” Claire shouted, shoving Hikari away from her. “Are you crazy?! You...you’re some kind of freak! I could never be so…so…disgraceful!!” She turned and quickly hurried off, leaving Hikari in the Darkness.
