	Chapter 6 – Broken Hearts “Hikari-chan?! Are you alright?!” Claire helped her friend stand. They had barely managed to return home, and Hikari had been badly injured. Claire’s eyes began to water. “Doushite?! Why did you take the blast?! You could have been killed!!” Hikari just smiled. “Baka…if you die….samishi~daru? I would do anything for you. Even if that means giving my own life…” “…Dame…ita…” Claire just turned away. “Hai, ita.” was Hikari’s only response. She would respect Claire’s decision, and limped the rest of the way down the dark empty hall. “Aha! Hoshi-ouji, I didn’t know you were so interesting to talk to!!” Phoenix smiled as the young prince spoke of different planets he had visited, and the people he had encountered. “Phoenix-chan, do you think maybe one day, you’d come on a trip with me?” Phoenix felt her face turn red again. “Nani? I…don’t think that would be a good idea, Hoshi-ouji.” She looked down; it hurt to say such a thing. “Why not?? Do you not like being with me?” “Of course that’s not it!! I just…Hoshi-ouji…you’re Queen Aminia’s son! I could never…” Her words were interrupted as the prince pushed his lips against hers. “I can’t!” She shouted, pushing him away. With that, she hurried from the room, leaving Hoshi speechless. In another room of the dark underground home, the queen kept a watchful eye on the residents by peering into her black mirror. “Hmm…I see my little fighters are becoming a problem. But you will take care of them, won’t you?” A shadow appeared behind her. “Of course…” Phoenix had never been so confused. She could never put her feelings before her duties…could she?? She needed to lie down for a while. She walked into the dormitory, but was startled by a familiar sound. “Claire-chan, is that you? You’re crying, what’s the matter?!” Claire just looked up at her older sister. “Neesan…*sniff* I have a problem…” Phoenix looked at her sister’s sad face. “I see…so do I…”
