About VAing:

Voice Type...wide range, but naturally medium to low, occasional high
Singing...umm, no...well, I have samples up, so you can decide ^-^

I joined the VA community in July of 2000. It started when my mailing list came with an add for a Sailor Moon RP. At the time, I thought this was an original idea..that is, I thought it was the only RP out there. When I started searching, I found the world of VA was MUCH larger. I joined some groups and boards and began my journey. The first thing I auditioned for was the SM RP from my mailing list. Right away I was given the part of Michiru...while this may have been a good start, it gave me the false perception that getting cast for a part was, well, easy. I found with more experience that there is much competition out there and you can't always get cast into the part you want. But I also found that auditioning and getting there is most of the fun. I would recommend that anyone try out VAing. I never really liked acting before...I had no true interest in it. However, everyone likes a chance to take the spotlight and try new things! If you or someone you know might be interested, a good place to start is the Silent Dreams UBB. It is a bulletin board where a lot of VAs go to find jobs. Of course, to VA you also need a microphone and a good recording program. Sound Recorder from Windows can be helpful, but as you develop your skills, a more complex program might be what you want. Good luck and have fun ^-^
