About the family . . .

The family I've always known is my adopted family. This is your average white middle class American family. There's mom and dad with two older brothers who are actually quite a bit older than me. 6 and 9 years older after my birthday. My oldest brother is married and has two kids. I've been accepted into the family very well. I was adopted at three months old, so I have no recollection of Korea. I get along with everybody as well as any teenager can, I guess. I like spending time with my kitty, Booger.
As for my Korean family well . . . the story keeps getting stranger and stranger. I initially thought I only had three siblings, a sister and two brothers. As it turns out, I have another brother who's two years younger than me and was also adopted. My mother is still alive and is in contact with me, but my father died in 1995 of a heart attack. I have the feeling that my birth mother has seen much tragedy and heartache in her life time.

There go my glasses . . .
