"Here Comes the Bride"

The two best weddings In My Life;

1. My parents Wedding. Had not been for their wonderful relationship their would not have been a me. I would not have known all the beautiful qualities of the perfect marriage. I never heard a voice raised in anger in our home. If they did argue I never heard it. If I needed to be disciplined it would be done in private not in front of others. I never got spanked, you see if my Mom or Dad spoke in a stern way I just knew I was in trouble and the last thing I wanted to do was disappoint them. My childhood was wonderful! Although I longed for a brother or a sister my parents and I had fun. Every Saturday my Dad and I would do errands together. It was our time. We did this right through Jr. High. You see it was then we lost him to a heart attack. I am so blessed to have had such wonderful times.  My Mom was my best friend and I still go to the phone to call her whenever I need a question answered. I have decided I can still write her letters and put them in a box. Some of the best advice on marriage came from my Mom on the night before my wedding. She told me to never go to bed angry. If you have to talk things out do not do it in the bedroom. It really does not matter who says Im sorry first just as long as one of you do. Always look nice for you husband. He will always appreciate it even if he doesnt say so. (Mine always has).
2. The next wedding is of course our own. After almost 42 years of we are still having fun. Our wedding day was like a fairytale dream come true. My Mom and I had a great time planning all the little details and going shopping. I can still see her in her rose suit and her pillbox hat dabbing her eyes in the front pew. It was a wonderful day. One that every girl should experience. I remember my Mom and I checking an Emily Post book to be sure we did everything just so. There was a show back then called Queen for a Day I loved it and on my Wedding Day that is just how I felt. I also had the most hansom man in the world beside me. The only thing that went wrong was that the limo that picked up all of us girls (There was myfive  Bridesmaids, Maid of Honor, my Mom and me) broke down halfway to the church. Luckily my soon to be in laws and some of their family happened by as we were all standing by the side of the road waiting for a replacement limo and gave us a ride to the church. I was only just a little late and Chuck was not worried at all, or so he told me. From our Blessed Union has come the joy of our lives...two beautiful children, Joseph and Tammy. They are adults now and making their dreams and future memories.

Written with much love and many bright memories through the Passage of Time and awaiting the making of future dreams yet come true.
