Mike Turner

Mike left the band officialy on Dec 12th 2001. It was a very sad day in the life of an OLP fan.

We all know how intelligent a man Mike is, so I don't doubt that he would have had a very good reason to leave. But I along with many others are still upset that he has left, for it is the end of an era.

Mike was the one who wanted to start a band in the first place. He placed an add in Toronto's NOW newspaper/magazine looking for other musicians. Raine Maida called him up, and Our Lady Peace was born. Yes it is true that Our Lady Peace has lost members before. Chris E. was Our Lady Peace's first bass player. Replaced by Duncan Coutts after the first album Naveed. We all know how well Duncan worked out! :o)
However, Mike leaving, is a different story.

Mike, you were our OLP connection. You talked to the fans, and really listened. You remembered who people were when you met them again(jncluding their names) and you even recognised people who you'd only spoken with on the Clumsy Congress. Your ability to keep your humility with all the fame you recieved sets the standard for so many people. You are an inspiration to so many of us, including me. Your contribution to Our Lady Peace's was incredible, and is not replaceable.

as a fan, I will miss you terribly.

CC'ers and TH'ers write the symbols on our hands at concerts so we can find eachother, and of course so you can wave to Mike durring the concert and he'll see the CC's on your hands and smile at you! *sniff*
