It was indeed a pinoy day out as Adventureland of the Sahara Mall in
Sharjah hosted a fun day for the Fipino community on May 28 themed
"Tribute to the Filipino graduates". Apart from PISCO school of Abu
Dhabi, other different Filipino schools attended the event such as the
NFPS and PMS. Kanyaw performing Arts started the
Singkil dance fo-
llowed by itik-itik. Kanyaw's young violin performers filled the air with
a playful tune of 'Leron-leron sinta'.
A solo performance of singer/composer Tonton Misajon also provided
an entertaining food for thought for OFWs(overseas Filipino Workers).
His first song brought laughter, when he sang in tagalog'Mana-mana lang
'yan which narrates how the parents should serve as good role models
for
their children, and ended with the song titled 'redeem
the time. Philippine
labor Attache, Vicente Cabe who graced the event was so
impressed.
