Additional Eurogame Changes
by designer Jared Scarborough
The following changes would have been made to the
Eurogame edition
(1999) if the board and cards hadn't already been printed, but you
might want to incorporate some of thm in your own game:
Adjustments to the Map:
- London connects with Chester, allowing London
to have one more Domination Marker on Turn #1
- Novgorod absorbs Smolensk. Thus, Hamburg is a
bit closer to Area V if it buys both Galley 2 and Caravan on Turn
#1
- The Western Mediterranean/Eastern
Mediterranean/Libya/Barca sea border is flipped so that Genoa can
buy The Heavens on Turn #2 and reach Alexandria (ahead of
Barcelona and Venice)
- An extra French wine province (Loire) between
Paris and Bordeaux would help Paris. This would mean a change to
the Wine cards as well as adding a commodity deed
Card Changes:
- Apart from the above change to the Wine cards,
it would help Hamburg if one Timber was switched from Epoch II to
Epoch I
