Coming Events
1. The next APNGFA meeting will be on 24 August at 11.30 at Glover Cottages,
Sydney.
2. Details of Functions in support of PNG's 25th anniversary Since
Independence.
There will be functions in Sydney and Canberra.
- On Saturday 9th September the Sydney PNG Wuntok Club will hold an
Independence Community Sports Day in Centennial Park, in the Ash Paddock. It
will run all day.
- On Saturday 16th September, at 10am, there will be a thanksgiving church
service organised by the Catholic Chinese association of Australia at the St
Leonards Catholic Church, Narremburn.

- Also on Saturday 16th September at 7.00pm the PNG Moale Club of
Australia will hold a Silver Jubilee Celebration Night at the Twin
Reception Centre, Botany Road, Alexandria.

Canberra functions will be held under the auspices of the PNG High

3. A seminar will be held at the UNSW on 6 September at which the
Consul-General, Kila Karo, will give a presentation.
4. Battle for Australia - Memorial, 6 September 2000 in Martin Place, Sydney.
This memorial will be held on the first Wednesday in September each year.
