Volsung - High Laws

VOLSUNG HIGH LAWS

The 16 High Laws of Volsung apply to all Volsaarns and will be adhered to in strict honor and duty.

I: No hatred shall be expressed in Vanaheim
II: Anyone who swears and follows an oath of virtue shall not be prevented from entering Vanaheim
III: There is freedom of thought and choice for all
IV: Treason is defined as any needless harming of a Volsaarn citizen
V: No Volsaarn shall lie or hide the truth while in Vanaheim
VI: Nothing shall be done to insult Hyperborea's honor, such as criminal acts in its territory
VII: The government may conceal nothing from the people
VIII: Vanaheim may not restrict emigration in any way
IX: Vanaheim may not conquer another nation. It also may not declare war
X: Vanaheim shall not ally with a foreign nation nor favor one over another in any way
XI: Vanaheim shall not restrict its citizens' lives outside of Hyperborea in any way unless in specific case where a person outside life is within micronationalism and compromises the laws and way of Hyperborea
XII: No Volsaarn may be conscripted into any position he or she does not want
XIII: All Volsaarns will vote directly on all matters at designated times with a three day leniency period.
XIV: There shall be no double citizenship in Volsung
XV: The High Laws may be changed by a 3/5 majority vote
XVI: The Volsaarn Order of the Paladin may never declare war or attack an enemy unless attacked first and then only with direct permission from the Duke. The Order will always be only for the defense of Hyperborea, never the offense.
