My opinion about Wild Arms
I like it...cuz it reminds me of Breath of Fire 3.Breath of Fire 3 seems to have been a GREAT influencein the writers...as well as Final Fantasy 6.
Start with the right foot
Start playing with Rudy.Exit Surf Village as soon as you can and then go to Adlehyde and buy the sword and armor for him.Go play the Berry Cave mission.After you finish it continue playing with him and go to Adlehyde and buy all the equipment for Jack and Cecilia.It's a lot easier this way,and you won't have to be killed over and over by Blue Books and stuff!!
Enter the Temple of Memory
Before you lose the Tear Drop, go to the Temple Of Memory. Enter your name "Emiko". There you will get two Crest Graphs and a Magic Parasol.
A date with Zed
At the Ka Dingel-Malduke's mission,go to Saint Centour and talk to the survivor girlat the southwestern part of the city.She'll tell you about a hyper swordsman she's been seeing.Leave town and Zed will appear and challenge you to battle.You can refuse,and if you do it he'll come back later,no problem.I suggest you don't fight him if you're under level 48--he's tough,believe me.His techs cause status changes,so better protect the party with Lock State.As a memento from the fight you get his lousy Doom Bringer,a pretty powerful sword(the second best)for Jack,but that lowers the luck by 2 levels.Since Zed seems to have straightened his ways,you'll end up sparing him after the fight.You know,I pity him for carrying around such a bad luck sword.What a cross.Truly demonic?
A date with Boomerang
To meet Boom for the last time,pick the Saber Fang he leaves after the fight at Ka Dingel's entrance.It says "I'll be back...".Go to the Ancient Arena and win the whole round of fights.The next time you enter Boom will appear.This time Luceid only appears as a sword ,his own"Guardian Blade"(thank goodness).As all the fights with Boom,it's really tough.I suggest at least a level 50 to fight him(you can do it at a lower level,but you'll spend a fortune on recovery items).He uses sudden death attacks so be sure to protect the party,especially Cecilia,with Life Guard or Goat Dolls.As a prize for killing such a great chara *sniffle*you'll get Rudy's most powerful sword.
My cool names for spells
Don't you think that the names in this game are a bit...uh...uninspiring?But luckily,unlike other games,you can change them.Here are some of my ideas for cool names:
-Escape=Magic Rope(yeah,like in Secret of Mana)
-Analyze=Analyze*(yup,it looks better with the trinket)
-Spark=Thunder(definitely,it sounds more powerful)
-Vortex=Sheza(like in Breath of Fire 3)
-Break=Earthslide(just another Secret of Mana name)
-Freeze=Ice Coffin(well,it does look like Camus' special tech...doesn't it?)
-Curse=Bat Cloud(definitely,a milder name)
-Invisible=Rest(what I do when I use Invisible)
-Blast=Burst(yet my Secret of Mana influence)
-Hi-Blast=Madness(...#^_^#)
-Rainbow=Rainbow(yeah,but I thought it before knowing it...so what?:p)
-Hi-Heal=Sweetheart's Kiss(change sweetheart for the name of who you consider sweetheart..and cross your fingers hoping that's not too long)
-Restore=Heal All(my Masters of Monsters influence)
-Remedy=Mintgum(refreshes your energy like a mintgum...)
-Hi-Break:Force Quake(this one is my Kartia influence.Too bad that this one does not raise,lower or plow the ground :p)
-Hi-Freeze=Blizzard(well,I admit Breath of Fire 3 is a MAJOR influence on me)
-Hi-Flame=Inferno/Padorama(idem the previous)
-Hi-Vortex=Shezaga(idem the previous)
Avoid elemental attacks
At the bottom of the Abyss,you'll find some monsters named...Mojanoids?Wojanoids?Mojyamon?(sorry,I can't recall the right spelling ^_^)but you'll know when you see them(I guarantee it)Try stealing from them.Their item is a Frog Badge,which nullifies elemental attacks(very useful to avoid being cremated by Ragu Ragla)Warning:it's very difficult to do it,but it's worth.Try wearing the monster off before trying to steal.
