09-Jul-2006: After 4 days sanding, the hull is ready to receive epoxi primer, before putty. Third tool decease: another cheap grinder. Now the hard work is passed, I'll buy a good grinder. |
09-Jul-2006: Carina and Flor painting with epoxi primer. |
10-Jul-2006: Primer ready.That nice it's in white!. |

10-Jul-2006: Another view. |
10-Jul-2006: Start putty work to correct imperfections. I used epoxi putty for the area below waterline. |
11-Jul-2006: Some parts above the waterline received the same putty. |

25-Jul-2006: After putty sanding, the great day arrives: to turn the hull!! I entered below and I was dismantling all the molds to only rotate the hull. |
25-Jul-2006: I preferred to hire a moving company to make the work, instead requesting help to the friends. This people are accustomed to manipulate big objects and they know all the techniques. |
25-Jul-2006: Without molds inside the hull it was quite flexible, so we crosses below it two suspenders, assuring each overboard with two crossed small suspenders inside and outside. Then with rope we get tied up it around the hull. Those suspenders "came out" for the sides in a such way that the hull when being rotated supported on their extremities and don't over the band. |

|
25-Jul-2006: When the hull turned 90º, it was descending for gravity. |
25-Jul-2006: Preparing for the final pull. |
25-Jul-2006: With some wooden and plywood pieces of molds, was made a slide-way for where the hull slips. Once horizontal we put under the hull a "cradle" where it will lean on until the day that goes for water. |

25-Jul-2006: Hull inside view. Fortunately, the technique used for glue was good, inside there isn't too much epoxi glue dripped. |
25-Jul-2006: The internal sanding work is a little, basically clean the wood and epoxi to receive the internal fiberglassing. |
30-Jul-2006: Due the steam is too thin, we must reinforce this area strongly. In this way we starting the fiberglassing, that contrary to the external one, it doesn't allow many hands working. Two peoples plus one more preparing the epoxi resin it's enough. |

|
30-Jul-2006: We must make a progress plan for making the two crossed layers at the same time and don't step over wet fiber. |
30-Jul-2006: As the fiber pieces are longer, I must to step the wet fiber a little. As well as displace the fiber, slip danger exist, so I make this "shoes" with plywood and nails. |
30-Jul-2006: Detail of grip of the "sole." |
|
|
30-Jul-2006: Here can be observed the suspenders on sections 4, 7 and 11, maintaining the exactly width of project. One of those is the responsable for the wound in Oscar's head. |
30-Jul-2006: Prow finished. This stage was completed in 3 days of work, working practically lonely. Inside of hull, with the resin wet, there isn't room for two people. Because the epoxi resin not cure in the next day, I complete the lamination without sanding. |
