"I was like, 'I have more of a life than I knew about,'" says ONE LIFE TO LIVE's Melissa Archer (Natalie), who recently stumbled upon a transcript of an "exclusive" Internet interview she allegedly did. Well, one part of that's right: It's so exclusive, even the actress has no idea where it came from - she says she never spoke to anyone from the site.

Fans who check the "With Love To... The Soaps" interview (www.fortunecity.com/atkinson/23/id658.html) may want to a few things cleared up. For one thing, says Archer, she never had birthday parties on a ranch. "What ranch?" she asks. She also never sang in front of her school in second grade, another assertion the "interview" makes. "Some of the answers looks as if they might have been reworded from a real interview I did," she explains, "but nothing there is worded the way I would word it. It's completely not valid, and kind of scary."

Archer has no Web site of her own and is still considering whether to let some fans start up an official club and Web presence. In the meantime, although she does not endorse any individual sites, she says "Melissa Archer Online" (http://archeronline.tripod.com), which is under construction, has been the most reliable. But it's not perfect, laughs the actress: "The kid who did it had a couple of pictures of me taken outside the studio that were horrid!"

A spokesperson for the FortuneCity Web site did not respond to inquiries by press time.
