- POE REEF LIGHT: No this is not Edgar Allen's Poe's winter home. But like the Fourteen Foot Light , it stands out in the cold waters of Lake Huron, only a few miles east. It is a sturdy structure that marks the route for ships passing between Lake Huron and Lake Michigan.
- BOIS BLANC ISLAND LIGHT: It nestled between some pine trees on the shore of Bois Blanc Island. It is now privately owned but continues to maintain it's solitary and peaceful look.

You can find nests every two feet in almost any direction. This is no place for humans as the frantic parents will swoop down on all intruders. You do remember the movie "The Birds"?
- WHITE SHOAL LIGHT: This lighthouse reminds me of a candy cane or maybe its time to get a haircut. But the job it does is no laughing matter. This light marks the treacherous Gray Reef Passage between Beaver Island and Waugoshance Point. By the way I onced camped at the Wilderness State Park which is located at Waugoshance Point. No, I not notice the lighthouse, but then I was yound and goofy at that time. But from what I can remember, is is a nice place to camp, and you can even visit a lighthouse or two.
