But what of the cow, now? "I've seen this before in a movie," Mulder claimed. He had decided to keep the cow as a pet. His apartment was so messy, on occasion it looked like a barn and smelled a bit like a petting zoo. He didn't think anyone would notice or mind if he brought her home.

And so the squishy cow joined Mulder and his fish as residents of apartment 42. She was a companion during the day and a guard-cow at night. No longer would Mulder be alone. And really, there is nothing more endearing than a boy and his cow.
