People are stupid. That has been my philosophy for a long time. It's so true. I defy anyone to prove me wrong. I'm not talking about academic stupidity, rather the lack of ability to think and apply thought to actions. The reason we live in such a babied society today is because of peoples' inability to think and/or fend for themselves.

I had a friend in high school that used to say that everyone else (presumably besides him) were cattle. I used to laugh at him because it was so fitting of his personality. It wasn't till later that I would begin to perceive his insight.

People nowadays don't think for themselves. They do what society shows them to do. They wear what society tells them to wear, act how society tells them to act, buy what society tells them to buy, drive what society says the should drive, vote or don't vote for who/what society says they should vote for, listen to the music that society tells them to listen to, and even worship the god that society tells them to. Most people aren't going to understand this, but that is ok. The cows that graze in the pasture are just as much cattle as the ones that are fed at the trough, it's just that they don't realize it. People are so concerned with the choices they make that they end up becoming U.S.D.A. Choice.

I came to realize that there is a reason why people are stupid today. We grow up in a society where we don't have to think. The laws created in our country today exist to protect us against ourselves, or to take advantage of our ignorance. People are bred to go with the flow and not make waves. Since our whole society follows this precept, most people aren't able to see that there is any other way to follow. Since our lives are run by society, we find that we don't have to think. When you don't think, you are stupid.

I have come across countless stories that reflect my theories that 'people are stupid' and 'people are cattle'. Most are either not remembered clear enough or just too insignificant to publish here. But I have come across some really good ones that I think everyone can enjoy. The .01% of people out there that understand where I'm coming from and realize it themselves should really get a kick out of it (or become more depressed about the crappy civilization they live in). The rest of the cattle should enjoy it too because everyone likes seeing someone more stupid than themselves, right?

I used to work in the fast-food industry. I must say, I can think of no other place where one can witness the stupidity of people to any greater extent. I believe that it is because people let there guard down. They believe that the people working there must be less intelligent than themselves, so they are less concerned with how they appear. All that really happens is they end up showing us how stupid they really are. However, their theory (about us being less intelligent) isn't entirely unfounded. People that work in the fast-food industry can be, and often are, really stupid. The 'Taco Hell' link is an example of just how stupid fast-food workers can be. [Taco Hell]

The next link is unexplainable. Like all these stories, I cannot vouch for it's validity. However, neither do I find it completely unbelievable. I should, but I don't. [Fun With Gerbils]
