Netter Digital Teams With NASA on Production of Science in New Science Fiction Series
North Hollywood, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-
-Aug. 18, 1998--Netter Digital Entertainment Inc. (NASDAQ: NETT - news)
today announced that Crusade, it's new television series produced in
association with Synthetic Worlds Ltd. for Turner Network Television (TNT),
will feature the first-ever strategic alliance on an on-going basis
with NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL
) Technology Affiliates program.
The announcement was made by Douglas Netter, chairman,
chief executive officer and president of Netter Digital Entertainment.
This collaboration marks the first time that NASA's JPL has provided regular consultation
to a television series
. Netter, who is also executive producer of Crusade and Babylon 5,
commented: ``We are very excited at the prospect of creating special effects
that reflect actual knowledge already gained from the U.S. space program.
Netter welcomes this opportunity to create visually the proper depiction of
future technology and accurate planetary and astronomical realities.''
Joan Horvath, a business alliance manager with JPL's Technology Affiliates Program said:

order to help ensure the realism and accuracy of popular science fiction programming.''
J. Michael Straczynski, creator of Crusade and executive producer of Synthetic Worlds, Ltd.,
who co-produces with Netter Crusade and the popular Babylon 5, its predecessor, said:
