River of Life

The river runs true, down to sea,
Washes away hypocrisy,
Cleanses souls of hate and wrong,
Before her, deceit, it's lies they flee.

Through the valley, through the wood,
Through the lands where man once stood,
On and on, the river runs strong,
Seeps through cracks that naught else could.

Through the darkness, through the light,
And onward, flows throughout the night,
Washing away the sins of man,
Nothing stands before it's might.

River of judgement, seek me out,
Wash over me, I beg, I shout!
Cleanse me anyway you can,
I close my eyes as you swirl about.

Softly, silently, pull me away,
In this place I can't bear to stay,
Wash away hypocrisy,
Take me where innocents play.

A smile, i'm there, inside my dreams,
So real, So real, So real it seems,
Finally it lets me see,
That if I love life, it will love me.
