(I'm looking for a lot more information and a lot more couples for this
page - can you help? I've had to "guess" quite a few based
upon past suggestions so if I've got it wrong, tell me. And if I've
missed your favourite slashy couple then let
me know!)

Alex Krycek and Fox Mulder
The X-Files
This relationship seems to consist of torture but people still love
it. And it can't be denied that there wasn't something between
Mulder and Krycek. They've had ample opportunity to kill each other
yet never did. And who could ever forget that look in "Tunguska"?
Not to mention the Kiss!

Benton Fraser and Stanley Raymond Kowalski (Ray)
due South
Happily ever after, anyone? *g* Not to mention quasi-support
from an actor in the form of innuendo, and all the wonderful slashy dialogue
you would ever need. Fraser asking Ray out. Ray asking Fraser
if he found him attractive. Fraser instantly responding that he loved
Ray, "And I you". Mouth-to-mouth. Punches and angst and then
smiles, just like a real relationship. ("They're so married!" one
person said.) And of course, the perfect ending and even more slashy
dialogue: "If you'll have me", before travelling off together on
an "adventure" together, chasing the sunrise.
This couple sparkles onscreen together, and it's a shame that the fandom
has factions due to RayK versus RayV.
Nonetheless, of all the couples listed on this page, Fraser and Ray
had one of the most hopeful endings and it was magic to watch them together.

Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn
STAR WARS
The opening scenes of The Phantom Menace demonstrate this pair
working together perfectly, echoing each other's movements, showing signs
of a team who've been together for a long time. Mind-linked?
Possibly.
Yet it is the final scene of the film which made slashers sit up and
take note. The Touch. 'Nuff said.
The summer of 1999 was well known in slash circles as the Star Wars
summer as people fled their home fandoms to begin to write about 2 gorgeous
Jedi boyz. ;)
The Master Apprentice Archive
has over 2000 stories about them. For gorgeous artwork, visit
The
Lair (Gayle's work) and there's some great fanfic as well..

Kirk and Spock
Star Trek
Kirk and Spock - no slash page would be complete without the couple
that started it all, even the terminology. K/S have been slashed
since the 1970's and with good reason arising from so much onscreen evidence.
They seem married to their jobs, or the Enterprise, but the films
allow the possibility of Kirk and Spock being involved to a greater depth
than what we see onscreen.
"Star Trek II" broke hearts when Spock died and Kirk's shattered reaction
was so powerful. He then proceeded to throw away his career and his
ship to get Spock back. Nothing says love like that. :)
And just watch the films focussed on them sometime - every film has an
extremely slashy moment (hand holding! Looks. Touches
and constant companionship, declarations and familiarity.)
Much fanfic and even some profic speaks of a mind-link between the two.
I highly recommend the original version of "Killing Time" (1985) which
says everything but....

Xena and Gabrielle
Xena: Warrior Princess
Why is it that women are allowed to say "I love you" and kiss onscreen?
The relationship between Gabrielle, from sweet beginnings in friendship,
is is beautiful, and romantic. They have taught each other so much.
This is the show where the subtext has ceased to become subtext, with speculation
and innuendo almost openly encouraged. And the musical epsisode
-oh- that was one of the most romantic thiings I have ever seen!
"Fallen Angel", where the spiritual forms of Xena and Gabby continued
to be together "for eternity" was another absolutely wonderful relationshippy
episode which brought a huge smile to many fans' faces. Xena and
Gabrielle's relationship is probably the closest to an onscreen acknowledgement
slash fans will get. They are definite soulmates.
How will it end?

Colonel Jack O'Neill and Daniel Jackson
Stargate:SG-1
A relationship often compared with (or crossed over with!) Jim and
Blair from The Sentinel, Jack and Daniel are another example of
opposites attract. The military colonel and the archaeologist.
Two different worlds and two different worldviews, yet somehow they became
devoted friends. Their experiences (involving deaths and Danny Whumping!)
serve to bind them even closer.
Key moments include hugs and the famous "Space monkey" endearment,
"Need", oh-so-cute arguments and apologies, and despite much angst in early
season 4, this was remedied by a glasses-scene, and "The Light" which finally
seemed to fix up the mess left by "Shades of Grey" in which Jack harshly
rejected Daniel's friendship and spawned a thousand fanfics.

Loius and Lestat
The Vampire Chronicles
Ever since Lestat made Louis into what he is, a vampire, an immortal,
they have been inexplicably drawn to each other. No matter what wars rage
between them, what hurts arise, Loius always returns to Lestat. A strange
relationship - they are lovers in a vampiric sense - but more than that,
they are bonded forever.

Chris Keller and Tobias Beecher
Oz
Who says you can't find true love in prison? The tentative, volatile,
and seductive romance that bloomed between a meek, emotionally scarred,
married lawyer named Tobias Beecher and the ultrabutch convicted murderer
Christopher Keller has
fascinated, delighted, and left more than a few fans in a puddle on
the floor. Despite being incarcerated in a maximum security
prison, this canon slash couple have tried to forge something stronger
with their delicate and complicated relationship. And
through the vicious fights, angry accusations, and bone-breaking betrayals,
neither can deny they truely love each other.

Stuart and Vincent
Queer as Folk
Such an adorable relationship that almost redefined UST. Vince
had been in love with Stuart all of his life, but never acted upon it because
of the agreement between Stuart and Vince that they were best friends and
nothing would get in the way of that. Yet when Vince finally entered
a serious relationship, it was Stuart who was jealous, but realised that
he only wanted the best for Vince. Through careful suggestion, Vince
realised that he belonged with Stuart rather than anyone else, and the
first series ended with them happily dancing together.
Series 2. And the agonising night-together that never was.
ARGH! So close, yet so far, and these two were kept apart by their
own hesitation until Vince finally quit everything else and went after
Stuart who was leaving forever. The pair was last seen travelling
together across the states, with every rumour about them being true.
;)

Constable Benton Fraser and Detective Ray Vecchio
Due South
The first due South relationship that got fans hooked.
Benny and Ray would do anything for each other, and had such cute dialogue
and moments together - such as Benny dressed as a woman and then dancing
together. :) Not to mention time spent in the closet!
And there were some wonderful near-declarations after two years of partnership.
Unfortunately, due to television politics, this couple was split up
and both found a new partner: Fraser in the form of the new Ray,
and Ray in the form of the new Ray's ex-wife. Confused, anyone?
Still, Benny and Ray remained good friends with a bond that can never be
forgotton.

Duncan MacCleod and Methos
Highlander
Methos, the Oldest Living Immortal, could have almost anything. Yet he
maintains an unusual interest in Duncan MacCleoud, wanting him to survive the
Game. Their relationship is cute at times (the paint on the nose!) and
full of angst at others, such as when Duncan learned of Methos's past. Not
to mention the double-quickening, the likes of which had never been seen.
Besides, Methos always seems at home in Duncan's place, so it seems
something's going on...

Frodo Baggins and Samwise Gamgee
Lord of the Rings
Frodo and Sam, literally, go through hell. Frodo has to destroy the
Ring, but Sam...what does Sam have to do?
He has to be with Frodo. Sam is the one person that stands by Frodo,
helps him on, even carries him on his back when Frodo is too weak to walk.
The Ring is destroyed only because of their loyalty. They are perfect soulmates
and will always be, even for those who don't believe they were ever involved
in a romantic sense.

Mystique and Destiny
Marvel Comics' "X-Men" series
Are they, aren't they? That has been the rumor whispered about super-villainesses extraordinaire, Mystique and her long-time partner in crime, Destiny. What is certain is that Destiny is one of the few people Mystique truly loves -- but does it go deeper than that? It would appear so. Recently, Marvel Comics (which has always coyly skirted around the issue) has mentioned Destiny as Mystique's "lover", apparently finally confirming that they are, indeed, more than just friends.
Mistique
LaCroix and Nicholas
Forever Night
There is something inherently sensual about any couple when vampires
are involved.
LaCroix and Nicholas have been described as, "Parent/child, master/slave,
protagonist/antagonist, friendship, adversarial, sensual and/or sexual."
Perhaps the most complex relationship in Forever Night, these two
were undeniablly bound to each other.
The Unnamed Faction

Dan and Casey

Dan and Casey have been best friends for who knows how long.
They have an anniversary together for cryin’ out loud (Casey forgot it
too!). They talk to each other about things know one else on the

Dave Lister and Arnold J. Rimmer
Red Dwarf
Let me say up front that Red Dwarf is absolutely full of innuendo.
Just listen to the dialogue sometime. "...when I tried to insert
this guitar in you..." Um, excuse me?!
The show is based around Lister and Rimmer who, despite having an entire
ship to themselves, still share the same room. They pretend they
can't stand each other but are together all the time. They lust after
women (although there are none left alive) but seem like two schoolboys
sniggering at something they don't understand and never will. Why?
They have each other! They even kissed in one of the most classic
RD scenes ever and fans keep hoping for a repeat. Not to mention
the heartbreaking scene where Rimmer#1 left...and it was Lister who convinced
Rimmer#2 to come with them.

Angel and Wesley
Buffy, the Vampire Slayer/Angel
Cuteness and UST abounds. ;) Not to mention the scene where
Wesley had Angel in chains. [More info, pics needed!] They seemed to have
an intense relationship until Angel went temporarily Dark, and from there Wes
found a new relationship. Angel was left to look back with regret and
jealousy...but the boys are still wonderful friends.

Mac and Vic
Once a Thief
They met over boquets of roses, and were soon rolling around the floor
together. And then again later, accompanied by heavy breathing.
And a third time, wrapped together in swinging ropes as they got into the
most ludicrous and "Hmmm!" positions.
So they hated each other at first. So they both loved the same
woman. So what? It was each other they spent the most time
with, and (review pending....)

Darla and Drusilla
Angel
Evil, pure evil, or so they seem, and they have the erotic-vampire
relationship down to a T. After all they've shared, the fact that only the
two of them remained together out of the 'family of four' and you begin to
realise that these are the ones with the lasting bond.
