Here is where you can find out all about the two slayers and what makes them different from each other and the simalarities between them. You are sure to find out something you didn't know here!

Here is a basic run-down of the two...

Now here is a brief bio of each slayer.

In the 1992 movie, Kristy Swanson plays Buffy, a snotty, stuck-up rich blonde that thinks very highly of her keen fashion sense. She is a cheerleader and is dating a guy on the basketball team. Her friends are as stuck up has she is and all they care about is clothes and boys and of course themselves. When we meet Buffy, she and her friends are planning for the school's next dance since they are on the planning comitee. She runs into this poor grungy guy named Pike a few times and makes fun of him both times also. Soon while waiting for her friend Cassandra in the gym-this guy comes in and starts to tell her that she is the slayer and she has to kill vamps (to make it short). She tries to get out of the whole thing, but finally decides that this is what she has to do. So, she fights the vamps and falls in love with the grungy Pike. She looses her boyfriend and friends (some to the vamps some to their stuck-upness). When she realizes that her whole life is changing and realizes that she really doesn't want it to change-she blows off pike and decides to go to the school dance where they have their final show-down with vamps and the head vamp Lothos. And hummmm, I wonder who wins.....Buffy does of course and then she rides off into the sunset with Pike on a motorcycle.

In the 1997-1998 series, Sarah Michelle Gellar plays Buffy, a hip, nice, middle-class blonde (well, now she is blonde, when the show started her hair was a lighter brown). Although she is quite cool, she is considered a geek by fellow classmates because of her friends she hangs with and for the fact she is always hanging around the school librarin (which not known by most he is her watcher). She was kicked out of her last high school for burning the school down and when she moved to Sunnydale she found out she just moved to the mouth of hell where tons of demons are everyday. So now she has a never ending supply of people to fight and kill. There's always some different kind of monster she has to deal with as well as all her personal problems. Doesn't her life suck. I think this slayer is much more feral than the Buffy in the movie. She fights better and just plain kicks ass!

Here are some other fun facts about the slayers...

Fighting Skills
THE MOVIE: Kristy Swanson's portrayal of Buffy wasn't has 'buff' as Sarah Michelle's Buffy. She trained with her Watcher Merrick helping her, but she had already gone to years of gymnastics before hand so she was real agile.
THE SERIES: Sarah Michelle is an excellent Buffy. She can fight and use just about any weapon, which means, vampires and demons of the world, beware!!

Other Stuff
Around all the slaying is a lot of romance too in both the movie and the show. I mean, you can't have death if you dont counteract it with some love, can you? In the movie, Buffy has a couple boyfriends and there is a lot of couples at the dance at the end of the movie and in the Buffy TV show most everyone has a love interest at some point but they are some weird relationships and theres always no reasurance that the realtionships will stick. I mean, I thought the Angel Buffy thing would last a while, but geez-look how that ended! In the movie and the TV show both Buffy's look a lot a like cause they both have short blonde hair and blue eyes, both are in high school, but Buffy is a year behind the Buffy in the movie. In the movie, Buffy is totally concerned with her looks, but in the series Buffy is not so concerned with her looks but usually tends to wear some bad ass out-fits. In the series, Buffy usually tends to be nice to everyone (with an exception of the demons and monsters she has to fight) but in the Movie, Buffy is much like the series Cordelia who doesn't hang with anyone but the most popular (well, at first she acts that way.) Buffy in the series really doesn't mind the whole being a slayer bit, but in the movie, Buffy hates the job.
