Here you can find out a little about the different villains Buffy has come across in the series and the movie.

In the movie, Buffy's main villain is Lothos. He is the movie's version of the Master. For centuries he has lived and no other slayer had ever killed him-but Buffy did. His little partner was Amilyn, who was played by the former Pee-Wee herman-and needless to say, he isn't very scary. Neither of them were....in fact none of the vamps Buffy came up against were scary! Especially all the vamps they created when they moved to Buffy's town. The were basically little vamp lacky buys=) Anyways, the only time she really comes up a big bunch of vamps is at the end (she only fights a few of them through out the movie and a couple when Merrick dies) and its like not even a big fight scene like you'd expect like in the series! Well, what kinda movie would it be if the good guy didn't win? Of course Buffy beats up and kills all the vamps and all is happy at the end.

In the Tv series, Buffy has many different kinds of different evil demons she has to face but since the show is entitled Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the most common of the demons is vampires. In the first season, Buffy's major villain was the Master. He is kinda like Lothos being in like he is the head vamp in all but not much like him otherwise. He made his first appearance in Welcome to the Hellmouth and was a major nucence to Buffy from that point on. Being stuck underground left them pretty limited contact but he sent many, many a demons after her in his name. In the season finalle of the first season-they meet one on one head on and he kills her. But she is brought back to life and then kills him and in the first show of the second season-when it looks as though he is going to come back-she smashes his bones all to hell.

The most popular of villains in Sunnydale in the second season was Spike and Drusilla-the star crossed vampy lovers. They have fought Buffy many times, but Buffy has been victorious in them all but has yet to fully extinguish them. (She hurt Spike pretty bad though) Each Spike and Dru have had their good days in Sunnydale killing and such-and also like the Master--when they failed to kill Buffy they've called up other demons for some help as well. In the second season finalle, Spike and Dru skiped town after Dru killed Kendra, the other vampire Slayer and Spike helped Buffy (well attempted to anyways) get rid of (the bad) Angel.

Similarites Between the Villains:
They both hate and want to kill the slayer, they all eventually get killed by the slayer=)

Differences Between the Villains:
In the movie they acted very silly and have funny lines and stuff but in the show they are quite serious, in the show-there are tons of different kinds of people Buffy has to fight and trains to fight-but in the movie Buffy only fights vamps and is only trained to fight vamps.
