Word from the Area 51 Research Center is that an F-16 was chasing a small unidentified object out of Groom Lake. The F-16 soared right above Rachel. The incident occured at about 8 in the morning.

Here is an important statement from SETI:
"We've just learned that the power to the Space Sciences Laboratory will be taken down tommorrow August the 6th, at noon PDT. The power will be down for approximately two hours. During those hours, SETI@home's servers will be offline and unavailable."
A new link has been added to the links page. It is a couple of travelers log as they journeyed into Roswell and Area 51. Their log can be found here.

I just recieved information from Norio Hayakawa about a new kind of testing that is going on at Area 51. A few of his colleagues were near the backgate area about three weeks ago and observed a lot of aerial activity. They observed the activity through night vision goggles, however, when they looked with the naked eye they observed nothing! This is a new kind of camouflage technology that the Government is working on. This is maybe a new type of stealth like electrochromatic panels that would make the technology almost invisible.
This could be the reason the cammo dudes are starting to harrass people again as they did between 1989 and 1994. They only do this when there is sensitive testing going on at Groom Lake. I will try and get more on this soon....

There will be a lot of "clean up" work on this web site today and maybe the next couple of days. I just found out that a few of the pages are not compatible with Netscape so I have to go and fix this major problem. Also, some of the images need to be reduced in quality to reduce load time (because we all hate waiting for websites to load). I am sorry about these problems, and I will fix them soon.

Here is a list of pages that I would like to get accomplished in the near future. Hopefully within the next month, but no promises. It has been very hard to find time to work on my website, but I will work on it whenever I can. Well, here are the pages:

To have more interaction with visitors to the Area 51 Headquarters, I added a "Weekly Area 51 Poll" to the site. Every week there will be a new question for everyone to answer about the Government or Area 51. I will keep all the results and probably add a new page to the site about what people think of the Government.
Latest issue of Popular Mechanics
As I was walking through a local Walgreens drug store, the latest issue of Popular Mechanics caught my eye. The cover story is Creating America's Secret War Planes: A Rare Look Inside The Lockheed Martin Skunk Works, The Most Classified Place On Earth. Right off I knew the title could be debated. Is Lockheed the most classified place on earth? At this point I decided to open to the article and look who the author is. The author was Jim Wilson! Yes, the infamous Jim Wilson who said the operations at Area 51 were abandoned and relocated to Utah. This was the reason why I bought the magazine: to see if the facts about the secret war planes were correct. So then I took the magazine home and read it. I was amazed to see that everything was correct except for one thing.....there was no mention to Area 51. Surely Jim Wilson knew of Area 51's huge involvement of the secret war planes. The U-2, SR-71, and F-117 all had some development and test flights at Area 51. Maybe Jim Wilson would rather forget about Area 51 all together? Well, anyway, if you wish to read the article, it is in the September issue of Popular Mechanics.

A new question has been posted on the weekly Area 51 Poll. The results from last weeks poll were saved and will be published on a future page.

A new Area 51 link has been added to the links page. It is David Bethke's Area 51 page. I should have added this link a long time ago because it has great first hand information unique on the Internet.
Aurora Sighting?
This possible sighting of the Aurora was sent to by Bob Johnson. What he claims to have seen out in the desert is very unusual and I am not 100% sure that it was the Aurora spotted. You decide for yourself.
