I had an occasion to be in Las Vegas in June 2002 for a 3 week work/training assignment for our company. My regional supervisor and I spent a few lunch breaks around the west side of the airport where Janet Airlines is located. After printing the schedule of the flights, we would check and see if we could watch the arrival of any aircraft scheduled. The schedule appeared quite accurate. Most aircraft would land on the N/S runway. Interesting that the FAA allows any aircraft to fly without indentification numbers on them. (All 3 SR-71's I watched and touched while stationed in Okinawa had the "red" numbers clearly visible on their tails.) I guess Janet Airlines is a stealth airlines and it can't be seen by the naked eye of the governmental agency required to monitor, regulate and enforce aircraft regulations. I enjoy reading all that you have reported and congratulate you for your fine work and the guts to continue providing information that our government will not. My name is Roger. Keep up the hunt. (Curtis: It is always fun to watch these non-existent planes very close to the strip in Vegas!. I am glad to hear that my schedules are still accurate after three years of being published on the web. There were schedules made in 1994 and shortly afterwards the flight times changed. I guess "they" don't care anymore).

Hi Curtis,
I went to area 51 back in June of 1998. I drove down the road to the warning signs and took a few seconds of video of the camo dudes and the warning signs. Later I drove back toward 375 and stopped to eat dinner (I heated up some chili on my tailgate). By the time I was finished it was dark. That evening I drove slowly around the dirt roads in the area and seen some amazing things. I am assuming that what I saw was lightning at this time but want to know if you have heard anything like this. The lights in the sky that I saw were bright white flashes that moved horozonally accross the clear night sky. There were plenty of stars out that night and I heard no thunder (which usually accompanies lightning). I was about 10 miles from the restricted area when I saw this, the light show lasted about 30 minutes. As it was my first time at Area 51, I figure that horozonal lightning was just a desert occurance. But it did resemble tight streaks of light, simular to tracers maybe. Let me know if you have heard of this please. I still think it was unusual.(Curtis: Sometimes flares from different military craft can look like horizontal lightning. Especially at night, flares can light up the sky to the point where it looks like lightning. Even just ordinary flares are fun to watch. You were very lucky!)
Thanks,
Mike Benson

Hiya Curtis,
I was recently out at dreamland back in January. After talking to some people in Rachel and going to the back gate. I realized that they no longer really use the back gate it is just sorta there. (Curtis: Maybe activity slowed down because of winter?) When we got to the back there were no cars at the gaurd shack either. Also the road was snow coverd and ther were no tracks to leading up to it. I think since they built the new recieving center they use a different gate. (Curtis: I know back in October of 2000, a new guard shack with increased security was added in the back gate area. So I would assume that it is still in use. I think they got tired of being watched as they checked in.) Also just for info it was kinda comical when we got the the main border on Groom Lake Road because there were no camo dudes till we got out of our vehicle and all of a sudden there they were siting on the hill.
Keep up the good work on your site it's great.
Thanks again, Patrick EuDaly

If the aliens are NOT at Area 51, then where are they?(anonymous) (Curtis: This is a good question assuming that the Government has possession of extraterrestrials. I would think that Area 51 would be the last place to house aliens do to the amount of publicity the base has received. No one knows for sure where aliens may be kept. I would assume underground would be the best place. Or maybe even an island out in the middle of the Pacific Ocean).

I was a over the road truck driver for a company in the south western Pennsylvania area in 1995 - 1996 there were several trips where loads were picked up in the dessert of Nevada and taken to military bases around the country do you have the exact location of the base in Nevada ( I.E. longitude, latitude minutes and seconds ) it would be very beneficial to me(anonymous)(Curtis: A lot of flat bed trucks have been seen coming out of the back gate area. The coordinates of the back gate are 35'38.7" and 53'53.2.")

What is Area 51? Is it a place where they keep alien space craft? Lee (Curtis: Area 51 is a super secret Air Force base about 120 miles northwest of Las Vegas. What goes on there is classified. In the past the base has been used for projects such as the building and testing of the U-2, SR-71, and the F-117A. Do they keep alien space craft there? I personally think they do not. If the Government does have such craft, I do not think they would keep them at Area 51. The base has become to popular.)

I just wanted to let u know that my friend and I are going to get into area 51 in a few years and I will share everything with you.(Curtis: If you survive, I would like to hear that story.) :)

After watching a documentary last year on area 51 it was hinted that the base had moved and that there had been no comings and goings and that the guards all appear to be missing.I have heard mention of Colorado Springs and Denver International Airport as its new home but have been unable to find any mention on any web site.Do you know anything about this or is Area 51 still going strong? Karen Deakin(Curtis: Area 51 is still strong as ever in its oringinal home in Nevada. Supposedly Area 51 was to be moved to Utah, Colorado, and even Canada. The relocation of Area 51 is entirely false. The Guards still patrol the perimeter. The Janet flights still take workers to the base every weekday morning.)

I am hearing that Area 51 is now home of the new elite Delta task force. The force is a combination of AF black aircraft (modified C130's and spy planes) with elite CIA special forces operating them. Have you heard anything about this, can anyone confirm? Keep your eyes wide open.(Curtis: I have heard this too. I cannot confirm it, but there has been talk on the Internet about Delta Force at Area 51. The base at could be one of their many stops around the nation.)

We are all US citizens and we have every right to know what goes on in our country. Apparently, our own government (who we are supposed to be able to trust - HA!) will not tell us what's going on at the elusive Area 51. It is so heavily guarded that no one who is not associated with Area 51 has been able to find out any information about the happenings. But is it for our own good? Is the general public not ready to handle what's happening at Area 51? Or does the general public have every right to know what's going on? I suppose that's for the general public to decide. And maybe the government, if they want to re-establish the trust they've lost in most of us, should respect any decision we make. Ana (Curtis:I agree that the public does have the right to know, but secrecy is good. I think the government should admit their secret projects, but just not give any details. This way we will know what is going on with our money, and the government will not have released any details to other countries. Sounds like a fair deal to me.)

The whole idea of an "Area 51" is BS. If anything so big like aliens were around then something must of have leaked out by now.(Curtis: I think information is leaking out all over the place. When something does leak out about aliens, the media makes it look like a bunch of crazy people looking for attention. The exact opposite is true. I do agree that there are no aliens at Area 51.) And anyway if it was top secret the US would of also at least moved the testing location by now with all the hype and media around the area. Robbie Erez(Curtis: Nope, it is still in Nevada where it has been since 1955.)

1)Are you really not allowed to stop on the side of the road when traveling through Area51 or that freeway nearby?(Curtis:You can stop anywhere on Highyway 375 where you wish to. Back in the late eighties and early nineties, the Cammo Dudes would sometimes try and scare off any observers on the highway. The only problem was is that the observer were on public land, and about 14 miles away from the border of the base.)
2)What is it with the alien's and Area51?(Curtis: This rumor started when Bob Lazar said he worked on alien craft at Area 51. His story cannot be varified and many people have come to the conclusion that he is lying. I personaly think there are no aliens at Area 51.)
I have been curious about this and that is why I first went to the Area51 site. It really is bugging me, so please let me know. Thanks (Curtis: I hope I cleared things up for you.)

hasnt area 51 been moved to a new location, if it has where has it been moved? I think it has been moved to nuclear bomb site but iam not sure. (Curtis: This is probably the largest rumor floating around about Area 51. It was all started by the author Jim Wilson in a Popular Mechanics article titled "The New Area 51." Don't worry, Area 51 hasn't relocated, it is alive and well as ever in it's original home in Nevada.)
