Thunderstorm
The heavens strike and the light christens the sky
The roar of thunder crashing like an angry sea, waves rushing by.
A storm rolling in with such speed and voracity
Such a force of nature, such a curiousity.
Flying birds brisked away by unseen winds
Crashing branches denting the ancient wheat bins.
Heaven and hell battling on open ground
No warning before the battle, not seen or sound.
Rain washes away the fallen leaves and soil
Water rampaging as if the earth was about to boil.
A thin ray of light breaks free of the darkness
More light shiines through and a rainbow is harnessed.
The black clouds fading in the background and the blue comes thourgh
Sunbeams hitting the earth, and the sky a lovely hue.
Warmth set in to replace the still and coldness
Nature regaining its balance.
