The principle fighting weapons of the old Gnalish Legions was the Force Rod. Today, this weapon persists as a right nasty bit o'kit, and just about every Gnalish Elt has got one.
The Force Rod is a long staff, about a metre and a half or so long, made of a plain, dull metal. It has no apparent controls or extraneous features. When you whack it against something, a whole load of blue sparks fly out, and whatever you hit gets creamed.
Details? Oh, go on then.
It focuses latent psychic energy and thought. You will the rod to go 'blam' and it goes, well, 'blam'. Only violent thoughts will do, though, no inner peace. The original Gnalish soldiers weren't possessed of a great deal of inner peace.
Force Rods are still manufactured today on Gnala for new Elt to use. They're not very emotionally attached to then, beign as they are unmarked and never heirloomed. That's just typical, isn't it?
