Kravatz![]() Name: Kravatz (Kray) EDUCATION:
SERVICE RECORD:
DECORATIONS: None. BACKGROUND: In 2292 Kravatz broke away from the walls of the Caverns of Life on his homeworld. He was nurtured in a pool of carbolic acid, with his thousands of birthmates, until he was strong and sentient enough to move on to the Caverns of Knowledge. There he studied the ways of the universe, as collected by the Matrilon seers since the dawn of time (or thereabouts) and became a scientist. In 2328 he was given dispensation to join Starfleet so that he might study geological formations across the galaxy. In 2329 he started his course, and was unfortunate enough to gain the companionship of Messrs Gordall Kalln and Yatoh Derch, and their somewhat gestalt friend Raleigh. They studied science together for six years, before serving their cadet cruise and moving as a group to the USS Enoch. After this Kravatz transferred to several different ships, slowly rising in rank, until he came to be Chief Science Officer of the USS May Bell. When that ship was destroyed in an altercation with the Romulans he transferred onto the Groundbreaker for a shakedown cruise. When that ship was pressed into normal service earlier this year, Kravatz got unwillingly transferred to the brand-new USS Naussa. PERSONALITY PROFILE: Kravatz is made of rock. His 'blood' runs at a steady 350 degrees (that's celsius for you archaic chaps) or so and his brain, such as it is, bears very little resemblance to that of a human. That aside, he's a fairly personable fellow, seeing little use for social niceties but prepared to put up with them. He does not suffer from any extremes of emotion, and could quite happily watch all his crewmates die under torture and not get angry. He'd get the torturer, probably crush their skull in his giant rocky fists, but he wouldn't get angry. SPECIAL NOTES: Matrilons are a silicon-based life form who spontaneously grow out of the mantle of their planet. No one knows why, and fellow members of the Federation have yet to see the inside of the planet. Still, the Matrilons are an ancient race and have only recently taken up space travel. They joined the Federation in slight contravention of normal standards when a starship intercepted their transmissions. As they passed all the guidelines of stellar qualification other than space travel, the somewhat happy-go-lucky Captain decided to go see them. The Matrilons (to whom the idea of space travel had never occurred) immediately started firing meteorite-like structures off into space and have started voraciously absorbing whatever information they can get. Strangely, despite never having left their planet before, they seem to know an awful lot about an awful lot... CASABLANCA SCIENCE DEPARTMENT
