The creation of writer J. Michael Straczinski, Babylon 5 is epic Science Fiction. Based around a five year story arc, interwoven characters and events contribute in the build up to the finale. It makes a refreshing approach to SF on TV, so if you haven't actually watched it yet, then I really do urge you to take a look, you won't be disappointed! The series has definitely put back the wonder, excitement and intensity into TV Science Fiction. I don't quite know what I'm going to do when it is finally over (bar repeats and spin-offs), I just hope it spurs TV companies into putting out many more mature SF shows (Space: Above and Beyond was one, but FOX gave up on it! *doh*).
