My Comments

Wow, wow and wow!
OK, you think you know what is going on in the The Last Guardian right?, so you feel pretty safe reading this book, thinking it's just a tying up lose ends kind of thing. Forget that! This is 'the' best Shannow book that Gemmell has written! It is so far-reaching and complex it really does frazzle a few brain cells, while you're working it out.
The pace is as ever fast, and compelling, and there are wonderful new characters to add to the already formidable list.
I've heard a few people say that they didn't think this was up to his normal standards, but I challenge them to read it again, and forget his usual way of writing, and take it for what it is. In my opinion this rates up there with Waylander, on the list of 'Most Awesome'.
