My Comments

Well, this is a beautiful slot of the history of the Drenai, in particular it is about Druss and his wife Rowena. But the book tucks itself in neatly, between Waylander II and Legend.
The story tells of Druss on the search for Rowena after their home is attacked and she is taken by slavers. It spans a vast amount of earth, taking Druss into the heart of the Ventrian Empire.
As usual it is well written book, and you really get a feel for the character that is Druss. Rowena is written particularly well, which for a man who doesn't often write of females this is a good thing! Sieben the poet, who you read about in Legend also makes an appearance, and I have to say he is a very charming character, one that if I had met him, well *wink* who knows!
