My Comments

Oh joy of joys, Tenaka Khan returns in this book, in a very unexpected way. This book follows after King Beyond the Gate chronologically, and shows what has happened in the lands of Gothir and Nadir since that book. There are new heroes to be learnt about, all of whom you take into your heart once again. There is a lovely touch with this story, and that is the two bowmen, Finn and Maggrig. Gemmell touches on the issue of homosexuality in a way that seems very natural and shows a loving and tenderness that is quite exquisite. Again it makes you yearn for more of Tenaka Khan though....he's definitely up there as one of my fave characters ever! Hope you enjoy this as much as I did...let me know your thoughts on it.
