When I Die

When I die
Let me rest by ancient seas
Burn my flesh
And breathe for me

Dress me in my finest lace
With black nails and mascara face
And at my funeral please do not pray
For God to steal my soul away
Let me go, so I may live
When I have nothing more to give
Let me die so I may feel
When my body lies cold as steel
Do not cry, but care...don't mourn
Let me in your dreams be borne
Into a world of blood and fire
High atop my funeral pyre

When I die
Let me rest by ancient seas
Burn my flesh
And breathe for me

Scatter my ashes in the sand
On the shore of some ancient land
Let me soar as ash through air
My body dies and my soul walks bare
Let me be the music in the wind
As to freedom I descend
When my eyes no longer see
Be the one to live for me
They say one's purest at their birth
But let my death decide my worth
Judge me not as child just conceived
But think of what I have achieved

When I die
Let me rest by ancient seas
Burn my flesh
And breathe for me
