Goblyn is probably very lucky to be alive as she was supposed to be destroyed as a fetus because of her obvious mutancy. Not according to plan however her twin sister who was sharing the same womb used her own mutant abilities to transport her endangered sister to another dimension.
Laura Goblyn's sister was autistic most of her young life and was a
patient at Lionel Jeffries' New Life Clinic. When Scramble went mad again
and his experiments/patients escaped Laura fled too. Goblyn spent all this
time in the dimension of the Dreamqueen where it was this vileness who
controlled reality. It was during Alpha Flights battle with the Derangers
that Goblyn came back and actually joined the team as a member of Beta
Flight. When funding was cut she went to live with Persuasion and her mom
along with Sister Laura Dean until they were summoned by Talisman during
the Quest for Northstar. Goblyn was later nearly killed by the even more
feral Wild Child during one of his killing sprees but did eventually manage
to recover. After the last disbanding of the team nothing has been heard
of from either Goblyn or her sister.
