Their eyes glow a luminescent green, and in each hand they carry a weapon.
Combat: The Kaligan's speed and strength of 18(50) allow it to use their four weapons without penalty and
are given five attacks per round. If they are wizards their spell attacks, due to their extra arms, are
50% more effective than normal wizards their level. They seldom wear any amour since their stonelike
skin is quite effective at stopping most attacks (and armour hampers their whirlwind ability). Once per
day they can employ a whirlwind attack which does 8d8 points of damage per round (due to the whirling
blades) for a maximum of 10 rounds. During this time they can also fly as an air elemental. They are
loath to use this attack however, since it leaves them completely exhausted and dizzy two rounds for
every round spent in a whirlwind attack. Their principal enemies are Rashakas, and will attack them on
the moment they find out their true nature.
Habitat/Society: Like their enemies the Rashakas and the natives of Sudhi the Kaligans follow a rigid
caste system. Their caste systems consist of 9 levels which are in descending order the Nobles, the
priests, the wizards, the knights, the common soldiers, the merchants, the labourers, the slaves, and the
untouchables. The "untouchables" are the outcasts of their own society or those not of the Kalganian
race.
Ecology: The Kaligans are not (as a whole) greedy and they do not plan to take over the world. They just desire territory to expand, preferably on Sudhi since it is most like their homes on the Winged islands. Their main diet is of farm produce and livestock, though they see humans, demi-humans and humanoids as animals they are as loath to eat them as we are to eat chimpanzees or baboons. Seafood is considered a delicacy since the oceans are so far away, and there are few lakes on the winged islands.
