The Lengurans are an extremely intelligent variety of primate with the magical ability to change their form at will. In their natural form they look like monkeys, complete with thumbed feet and prehensile tail. Their faces, though framed with fur, are more human-like than most monkeys.

Combat: Lengurans carry quarterstaffs which strike for 1d6 points of damage, and daggers which strike for 1d4 points of damage. In addittion lengurans can polymorph self three times per day. Each change in form lasts until the lenguran chooses a different form, and reverting to their normal form does not count as a change. Lengurans can only polymorph themselves into creatures of either T, S, or M sizes. In this form they employ all the normal attacks (though not the magical ones) of the creature whose form they have assumed. Lengurans prefer to fight in other shapes because it allows them to heal 1d12 points of damage when changing back to their normal form.

Habitat/Society: Lengurans prefer to live in two places, deep in the jungle or in the midst of human cities. In the jungle, they live in small settlements in the middle boughs of the great trees, building houses out of vines, branches and mosses. In this capacity they act as one of the guardians of the jungle and will sabatoge any act of over- exploitation. The lengurans who live in the cities and towns of humans assume the forms of human families or their servants. They are usually merchants, and some and are not above dealing with pirates or the dragons of the west in order to enrich themselves.

Lengurans society is stuctured into tribal groups of 10-40 members, with each group having a leader of 4 hit dice with the natural ability to fly (as per spell) at will.

Ecology: Lengurans living in the jungle seek to maintain the ecosystem as it is because they depemd om it for their livelihood. Other lengurans seek to maintain themselves and will often exploit anything to gain what they want.
